Overall objective
The overall objective of the project is to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy and Ministry of Economy for development and promotion of legal framework on producer groups and producer organizations, according to EU requirements.

Specific Objectives

• Establishment of expert working group (project partners, MAFWE and Ministry of Economy) for development of a legal framework for producer groups and producer organizations.
• Identification of the a model of producer groups and producer organizations according to EU requirements, enabling farmers groups to both function commercially and use available support from the state and EU funds.
• Preparation of legal framework for identified model on producer groups (primary and secondary legislations).
• Preparation of criteria for recognition of producer groups and producer organizations.
• Conduction of a comparative analysis of corresponding legislation including: Law on Civil Associations and Foundations, Law on Trade Companies and Law on Agricultural Cooperatives.
• Facilitating the process of adoption of draft legislation related to producer groups and producer organizations.
• Proposition of amendments on the other legal aspects on farmer organizations
• Promotion of the model on producer groups trough public information campaign for future beneficiaries.
